Hey! I am Katie a wedding photographer based right on the border of Suffolk and Essex.

I have been capturing weddings full time since 2010 so it was a very surreal moment when I actually got engaged myself in September 2015 to my partner of 6 years Jack.

We met in a very unromantic setting of our local pub *cough Wetherspoons!* on a wintery, drunken night back in October 2009 and the rest as they say is history!

I am a massive country bumpkin who is never happier then taking walks with my little dog Mossy and enjoying some good food!

Having experienced hundreds of weddings it was been a real eye opener to actually arrange my own! Despite all my experience I still found the whole thing to begin with quite overwhelming!

I am also at the age where lots of friends all seem to be getting married too and I was surprised at how many didn't even know where to begin with their planning!
This is where the 'Get Wed' dream came to form...

Get Wed follows our own wedding planning journeys, and each week we cover a different topic, sharing our own plans and ideas along with opinions and advice from experts too.

Hello! I'm Kerrie. I got engaged on Christmas day 2015 to Russell, it came as such a shock to me as I'd started to believe I'd forever be the photographer and never the bride!

We met just over 5 years ago in the modern romantic way... whilst out one night 'merry' (drunk!) in a bar in Colchester.

We're being a little bit alternative by having a celebrant marry us in the woods on our wedding day, and I have my fingers crossed that Tagg (our Fox Red Labrador) will be our ring-bearer.

Like Katie, I'm also a professional full time wedding photographer based in Manningtree on the Essex/Suffolk border. I adore my job, but it has meant I've seen too much, I now have too many ideas and I don't think the budget will ever stretch!! (whoops!)

I also found that actually when it came to making my own wedding plans, I literally had no clue where to even start.

We think everyone needs someone to help them through this phase, and I'm pretty certain Get Wed is going to be such a useful tool, not only for us but everyone else too!
